Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when i first got the car it would brake down when i drove it, so i replaced the fuel filter and it ran fine, for a couple days. broke down on side of highway. was smoking. towed it home and now it wont start but it will crank., no fuel pressure.

I would use a smoke detector (like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIBR-gwsE_0 purchasable from kustomsmoke@yahoo.com) or use a cigar and blow smoke into the fuel line under the hood (warning: keep the cigar away from the engine). This will show you where you have a leak. The smoke is the fuel spilling on the engine and you can't get it to start because of lack of fuel. If it wasn't for the smoke I would say it was the fuel pump.
