Would a 275 79 r16 be too big for the current rims? I can't find the correct r15's anywhere trying to find next option without having to buy rims also

Well if you have R15's now, you can't use R16 tires, you would need to get 16" rims. You are stuck with tires that can fit your 15" rims and width.

put > 235 60/r15tires for sale< in your search engine....they are for sale all over the place ?????? also the 275 79 r16 is 7 inches taller..and then the rims must be changed...your speedo at 60 mph will then read 50 mph give or take.
