Perhaps a used Service Manual frome ebay or Amazon? Quick check and people are asking crazy prices... I guess I'd wonder if the fuel pressure regulator was acting up, or maybe the weakend ignition wasn't burning fuel all the way. Back 40 years ago we'd take Cadillac alternators and put them on our trucks because they had so much more charging amps than any other models around. As for CCA, I've been using the largest battery that fits in the battery box of my cars. The alternator has been keeping them all the way up. The CCA may vary between different manufacturers for the same specific application.
