Should I get a type or base

Need help deciding choice of 84 t type or 84 base.
Which will better in the long run v 6 turbo or the 308

I would buy a top of the line car as they appreciate more than base models.

Thank you guys I am going with the T type. Only 1153 produced. Wanted one with a 350ci motor. I am am sure will be back with more questions in the future. Will post a few picks when I get it. Posted the transport on uship let’s see how much it will cost Thanks again

My reference material indicates there were 5,401 T-types made in 1984....200 hp, 300 # torque.

I pulled those numbers of the Riviera club web site. If you can please post where you got you info. It would be good to know.

I suspect just checked one of my sources and the number you have is for 1984 Riviera T- type Buick offered several series with the T-type option A good source is "Standard catalog of Buick" I have the 3rd edition which covers 1903- 2004 there is probably newer versions that cover the later Buicks. I also discovered that Buick dropped the V8 option in the Regal after 1982. The gas V8 as the small 265 ci engine and the last year for the 350ci v8 Diesel. That from the same book.
