Repair

Asked by Ce Ce Sep 19, 2018 at 11:36 PM about the 1995 BMW 7 Series 740iL RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 BMW 740il. 152,000 miles. New
battery and new alternator. Issue: It's hard to turn
and when you move the steering wheel either to
the right or left the battery light comes on. Who
knows what's going on?

i had a similar thing happen , i had to tighten the belt, i checked the fluid my coworker put in and it smelled like gas , a third party mixed gas for a job after work and put it in a power steering fluid bottle and put it in my tool box i wish you better luck in life than i have lived through some crazy problems created by people around me and me not paying attention to detail

Thank you.. I was thinking it was the belt as well. As far as the shorted turn signal- how would that make it hard for the wheel to turn?
