How many quarts of trans fluid will it take to fill up a 94 dodge Dakota 4wd after a filter change

Is this bone dry? Torque converter empty? That would be around 7 quarts. Just the trany filter? About 3 quarts. Now don't just go and pour it all in at one time, bone dry you put in 3 quarts then start it. As you add more you need to be shifting threw the gears to circulate threw the trany until full. Same as for the filter change but only start off with 1 quart. Always check level after each quart and shifting threw the gears so you do not over fill it.

I have a 1999 dodge Dakota v6 , I just fix the Transmission, but I don’t trust the mechanic. I want to replace the oil , I want t know how many and what kind can I use thank you
