Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My bronco will run spraying starting fluid through

Yes, this is a good indication of a bad fuel pump. What size is this engine so I can tell you the location of the fuel pump.

You'll probably find a lot of rust , and replacement of many of the lines , shop on line , and don't run the new pump with low fuel make sure it's swimming , check for a good ground at the pump first before you tear it all apart , enjoy .

A simple test is to listen for your fuel pump to energize the moment you turn the key on. If it runs, you may have a clogged fuel filter preventing fuel getting to the fuel pressure regulator. Also a good visual inspection of all fuel lines from tank to engine is in order here. Last thing, locate your fuel rails on engine, there is a schrader fitting. you can momentarily pop the valve to see if any pressure. Watch your eyes! Good luck
