Hazard on my 1984 Full size bronco do not work?

However when I pull the switch...I get
nothing. The if I step on the brake
with the switch in the on positions
the indicator lights in the cabin come
on and so do the exterior ones but
no flashing just steady light.

You obviously have a short some where. Sometimes these things can occur with bad connections in towbar plugs, but this may not be your problem.
