Truck starts then immediately stops.

I replaced fuel filter, manual fuel pump, coil and ignitor, spark plugs. I drained the fuel tank.  Only 130,000 miles and no problems before this.

You may have an issue with your Air Flow sensor. I think that's what they called the Mass Air Flow sensor back then. Try removing it and cleaning all the contacts.

If cleaning the MAF doesn't do the trick, I would suspect a bad ignition module. I think they called them ignition control units in the older rigs.

I installed a new carburetor and I put the oxygen sensor and new call El spark plugs goes on and then dies

Crap- My 1984 Toyota pickup w/ 144,000 miles, I start her up, idles great for 6 minutes then DIES...... what happened ??
