Car won't start

Okay so I was driving and all of a sudden the  
car stop moving  and it won't accelerate
anymore and there was a smell before it
happened. So I tried turning it off and
turning it back on and it won't start. So
before all of this happened the check engine
light came on and before it stop working the
oil light came on. I don't know what to do
about it, I'm worried it might be the engine or  
transmission that went out. Please help.
