We have a chevrolet cruze 2013. When we're stopped on an incline, the car will roll back before the transmission will catch.

Check the tray fluid maybe even have it flushed, car is too new to be something major

We're took it back to the dealership & they said it wasn't any wrong but it's still doing it. Make you think you have stick shift!

all new automatic cars(I've seen) do this. My wife's Prius does it as well. Smaller engines and lower rpms lead to this backward roll...in my opinion.

The answer is in your owners manual. It’s completely normal

The transmission shifts out of drive when stopped. If you lightly release of the brake pedal while stopped on a incline, the car will slowly roll backwards until the transmission senses you are moving. You could practically roll down a hill if you are careful enough. It's normal, a little unnerving the first few times.
