1997 caravan 3.3 stalls when hot without heater on

Asked by Cbtcppq Apr 07, 2017 at 09:36 PM about the 1997 Dodge Caravan ES FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1997 Dodge Caravan 3.3 stalls and or hesitates
like a timing issue when the weather gets warm.
The longer I drive it through the day the worse it
gets. However if I drive it with the heater on it runs
just fine. About 2 minutes after turning the heater
off the symptoms start happening again. No codes

I would service the cooling system - hoses, flush, thermostat and make sure the cooling fan is working properly.

Cooling system has been serviced within the last year, thermostat is new within the last 6 months and still test ok, cooling fan is working properly and we are not over heating. My guess is a secondary part like a sensor or something is over heating but the engine is not.
