97 avenger 5 speed won't go in to 1st or 2

I put new clutch in it and I go in evrey
gear but 1st and 2ed what would
cause it

Will it go into those gears with engine turned off? If so possibly need to bleed slave cylinder.

Ok check your linkage on trans. One cable changes the actual gears and the other one toggles up, middle or down. Sounds like the linkage that toggles is not moving to proper location for shifter to go into first and second. Or at least that's what I would check first if it was mine.
