On my 1999 it was on the drivers side, up under the steering wheel close to the fire wall. 5 digits long as I recall.

actually theyve changed the locations on the newer models. I searched around and found that it is located on the passenger side behind the fuse box. checked there and found the sticker but that only has a 5 digit "date code".

My 2004 had a credit card like card in the owners manual folder that had the code and instructions on how to personalize it. If all of these fail, you might see if the dealer can get it for you.

Well, sorry you feel i may be an idiot... maybe you can borrow a crystal ball and find it. I have given you the normal ways to find it, including asking the dealer. I don't know where you are, but our Ford dealer would get it for you. I think per chance the idiot here is the person who asked for help but didn't think to get it from the company or person you bought it from. If you have tried all the tips given you here and still don't have it working then the only thing I can come up with is, "YOU CAN'T CURE STUPID"

I found the same thing as xenonbachaim. Date code. 2012 Expedition Limited. What ever has been in the videos I found on YouTube... The innards behind my fuse panel plate look completely different.

Your owners manual should tell you where to find the code in the section on programming a personal code.

I have the owners manual and it does give instructions to program it but it does not give the vehicle specific code. It is in the owners packet. A business card size with 5 numbers on it in large print. On some cars, it can be found in the fuse box also and behind the radio. This is not true of all cars.

I have a 2013 Expedition LTD. The code is on the passenger side. Take the trim and fuse door off. loosen the two screws holding the fuse panel down. gently pull the fuse panel away from the wall. On the back side of the fuse panel, there is a white Ford label that shows the 5 digit code on the lower left corner of the label.
