front wheel area popping sound!!! help!!!!

we have a 98 dodge stratus and lately started a every so often popping noise when only turning sharp left then got terrible popping when turning left then either way so we changed the cv axle out for a new one and its even worse! :( any suggestions?? we're on a budget

Sounds to me like a hub bearing the cv axle slides in transmission and the other side goes into the hub bearing where the studs for your lugs go on
