RV cam in 1972 Monte Carlo with a 400 engine brakes work but not very good

an RV cam shouldn't give you vacuum problems, it's a step above stock. what does your cam card read? Where the brakes good before cam swap? if need be you can use a vacuum accumulator tank for the brakes
