98 Dakote engine pop back and looses power.

all errors erased    engine pop back and looses power.    Stop and re start  ok for a while.    
or   gas to the floor fixes it for a while also.Once the check engine light comes on it will
learn and not have the problem.    Was told that the O2 rear sensor was the problem   put
the extender on that sensor   no help.     Anyone have ANY IDEAS ?   PLEASE !!!

we had our truck put on computer at auto zone and it was the ignition coil. That seems to have fixed our problem.
