Brakes apply themselves

Asked by Dennis Apr 03, 2023 at 10:38 PM about the 2013 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 250 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 C250 just started this. When I press the accelerator, the brakes
grab. If I just idle in drive the car rolls feely. The same thing happens in
reverse. My indie garage cleared the codes, (wheel speed sensors) but said
they cannot solve the problem. My ABS and traction control and cruise control
warning lights are on.

When I've seen this before, it's caused by a fault in the break master cylinder. Could be a leaking cap-seal or a vacuum booster leak.

This is fault in the break master cylinder. Either a leak in the seal/cap or in the vacuum booster.
