Serpentine belt burning smell/alternator not working

The other day, my belt was squealing. It had gotten
shredded on the side because the tensioner was
bad. Replaced both. Now there is a burning smell,
and the alternator isn't charging the battery.

I'm stumped, and I've already lost two days of work
on this. Really cant miss tomorrow too...
