Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck started making tick noise. I’m pretty sure it’s
the lifter noise. Is there detailed instructions sheet
for performing the repair with parts needed like
gaskets, lifters, ecxt. I would like to do the work my
self to save some $$$ please help

A Haynes manual gives you all that, as far as replacing lifters. You might want to try running Seafoam through engine first though, to clean or degunk the lifters before resorting to replacing them. With Seafoam add it to the oil, then drive 100 miles, then do an oil change. I've had a few late model Mopars, they all seemed to suffer restricted oil flow in the upper end so keeping the engine clean is a must. If Seafoam doesn't do it you can remove the lifters and soak them to get them clean, before trying to replace them. For tools you only need basic tools like sockets/wrenches, you will also need a torque wrench.

Thnx. I’m really hoping work can be done with removing as little parts as possible specially drivers side. Passenger side is way more accessible. This is my very first vehicle I buy zero miles, and figures now that it’s payed off I start having issues. I don’t want to get rid of it, I just don’t want to deal with it again.
