tranny/sensor?

So I have a question about the new to me 99 durango slt 4x4 5.2 (115k)! I took it
on a 1 and a half hour drive and toward the end of the drive on the free way
(driving 70 mph) when I let off the gas the rig would shift out of overdrive until I
gas it gas again sending the rpm from 2100 to 2800! for the record the tranny is
still shifting nicely and does not feel like it is sliping what should I look for sensor
wise that could cause this? I will add that I took the rig on a short drive yesterday
and it did't do it at all! I am at a lost guys help please!

when your torque converter is in lockup (overdrive at 70mph) and you let off the gas the converter clutch releases, at most you have a lazy TCC solenoid
I guess I should say coasting and not just letting off the gas! It was happening when I was going down hill and I had to coast so that I would't be speeding! any way how much does a tcc solenoid run and how hard is it to install? I had some one tell me I should look at replacing my tps sensor to does this make any sense?
id tend to think not, your year truck still has a throttle cable for the transmission to measure throttle pressure so your TPS shouldnt effect it, and idk how much the TCC is or how hard it is to install on your truck im pretty sure you just drop the pan, remove the transmission filter and its in your valve body some where
any thing is possible, have you checked the transmission fluid since you bought it? you could just need a flush and filter
I will look into doing the tranny flush and filter but should I be worried about servicing the tranny at 115k if it has never been done before?
I would say it wouldn't be a bad idea to service the trans, but it isn't necessarily something to be worrried about unless you're experiencing problems with the tranny. I just did the filter and fluid on my '98 at 160K miles and I don't know if it was ever done before that. Preventive maintenance is important.
I had a shop look at it today and test drive it and he said he thinks a may be a pressure sensor or what ever he call it. He said If I pay 80 bucks that he would drive it with the scanner hooked up to it to see exactly what is causeing it! he said worse case I am looking around 500 bones if he is right he said the part is not cheap but on a good note he said my tranny is in great shape besides that!
So I had the shop run the test with the scanner and they said everything checked out OK so now I don't know were to look! the best part is they did't charge me. I am going to change out the tps tomorrow to see if that helps!
So it has gotten worse now it gets to the point were it won't shift into od! could the output speed sensor on the tranny cause this? keep in mind my tranny is not slipping and the tranny shop gave it a clean bill of health!
