will a 99 318 Durango engine fit into a 03 Durango 4x4

I have a 99 dodge Durango 2wd with 139k on it. I found a 2003 model Durango 4x4 but needs a motor for $500. Will my motor from the 99 model fit into the 03 4x4 model

I wouldn't think so , but I could be wrong. .I'm taking my 318 out of my 99 Dodge Durango V8 4×4 and putting in my 360 wich is in my other 99 Durango 4×4 , but please do let me know if it worked out for you.

you probably can put the 99 motor in the 03 but depending on the motor youll likely have to change the wiring harness and the pcm and fine or make motor mounts to make it fit.. my onion is dont do it its not usually worth the headache foe switching and modifying the wiring harness
