problems with 1999 Dodge Dakota stalling randomly/crank sensor ?

I have a 96 Dodge neon and it keeps dying out on me what could be the problem

I have a 1997 DD and it would run fine and then a of a sudden as like it was running out of gas. I would throw in Neutral and turn off and back on and it was fine. I never figured out what is wrong.
