Dirty Oil, I have a Chevy 350 bored and stroke to 383. The oil get black/dirty looking a few hundred miles after I change it. The engine also runs rich. What would cause this?

Black oil is normal after a few hundred miles, if it make you feel better go with 5-30W or 10-30W synthetic and a good oil filter, you should be fine...
