Vacume connection issue.

I have a 00 dodge neon and the problem im having is i have a small vacume hose that
gose through firewall, the same spot as heather core inlet and outlet is. It has came out
now car idles really high. Can someone exsplain how to get it back in and connected. I
also beleave this part is a vacume check valve.

I could be wrong but it looks like the vac line snapped, common as they get brittle, i'd stick something on the other end of the hose temporarily to cap off the vacuum leak untill you can replace the line
