If you have an engine misfire, get it looked at ASAP, you don't raw fuel during into the exhaust clogging up your catalytic convertors. Diagnosis is usually around $80 for a mechanic to do it, then the cost of replacing the spark plugs or coil. Add another couple hundred.

Since there can be a lot of different causes there is no average. Hopefully it is easy fix.
