the usual way, with a special cone shaped transmission fluid funnel~ have you checked the level hot while running in Park?....where did the fluid go? do you have a leak at the flex connections leading to the radiator?

it might be by bolts ..one to drain the pan & one for proper fill level. newer GM vehicles have this setup.

I shake my head every time someone that is not a certified GM ASE Tech, answers a question. This does not, I repeat, this does not have a dipstick! It has a black fill screw off cap on the driver side, way down at the bottom, inside the engine compartment. You can't check it while it running by the dipstick, because it doesn't have one! You have to check it with a sight plug and this procedure is not for the amateur.

Are you spose to see the transmission fluid through the plug on top of transmission in 2013 equinox or is that just a fill plug?

I have a 2013 Chevy Equinox made in canada where is the transmission fill and dip stick located ? What kind of trany fluid does it use?? How many quarts does it take to fill it ?

The dipstick is located behind the front center motor mount underside of the motor. take 15 mm three bolts off; then 18mm bolt joint off; then use 12mm to undo bolt holding the dipstick in place. if youv'e got that far might as well flush it and refill it. do so by draining it with a 24 mm or 7/8 in socket. if it is not 24mm or 7/8 then it is not the proper drain plug
