Sparkly see through top

Asked by GuruTX6PX Jun 24, 2018 at 09:55 AM about the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z16 Grand Sport 3LT Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I looked at a 2012 Corvette Grand Sport that was for sale. (not positive if it was a 3LT or not)  It had a see through roof unlike most I have seen. It was sparkly. The sparkles were not uniform - some areas had more sparkles than other areas.  Was this top damaged or something making the sparkles?  Did Corvette make a sparkly see through top?
Thanks

Sounds like an aftermarket adjustment made by the previous owner. I do not believe Chevrolet has ever made that available as a manufacturer upgrade.

Just bought a 98 Corvette. The sunroof top is sparkly, as well. Cannot find any damage, either inside or outside. Wondering if it is safe. Thanks, anyone, for your response.
