Shift feel with cvt trans on full acceleration

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Subaru outback my wife has a
2017 outback and I have a 2020 outback
which is a loaner vehicle , the 2017 and the
2020 under full acceleration I can feel and
hear them shift but my 2013 just goes to 5500
RPM and I do not feel any noticeable shifts  is
that normal ?

A CVT does not have shift points but some manufacturers have programed in fake shift points into their CVT's.
