Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving the car in the traffic in 2nd gear, and by the time i reached home,
which is just a block away. smoke started coming out of the hood with a
burning smell. I checked for coolant, it was okay, then i checked the engine
oil, it was okay too. i dont know what it wrong with it ? It is a manual
transmission car though.

do you have what used to be called a quarter car wash around your area if so take the car there and semi pressure wash the engine/compartment...drive it home and start looking around for a new leak..valve covers...intake..oil filter...oil pan...
