I replaced the alternater belt on my 2001 dodge stratus rt but it wont get all the way tight. their is no more room for the tenchener to move. What can i do?

it sounds like you don't have the belt routed the right way or you have the wrong belt added a pic for the 2.7 L engine

also check back with the parts store you got it from that you absolutely have the right belt. Someone else on here had the same problem you're having and that turned out to be the reason why it wouldn't get tight - wrong belt.

Always compare the old belt with the new belt when you have both in hands.
