Are there two transmissions for the dodge neon? I have problems with it shifting. I had to replace the radiator because the cooling line broke off. Now it stays in second gear. On checking in the forum it says I have a problem with thw shift solenoid. The transmission on my 2001 neon SE does not have the shift solenoid it shows in their trouble shooting guide. Anyone know where the solenoid is located?

the 01 came with the 3sp auto trans, the only solenoid it has is for the torque converter lockup which only is used on the highway, it doesnt control 2nd gear. the valve body is responsible for shifting 1-3 so it is likely that or the bands in the transmission. my best guess.
