Can i add water or has to be a special coolant liquid to put on the coolant container and where the container located on a chevy malibu 2013

First off yes you can add a little water. Second it's a 2013 you shouldn't have to be adding anything. Anti-freeze shouldn't ever have to be added unless it's leaking somewhere. It should still be under warranty as long as it's under 100,000 miles. Get it in and looked at before you have bigger problems.

dex-cool or distilled water.. also, i too think u should look for a leak. radiator? hoses? ..the resovoir should have a bit of coolant on the stick but only to the markings.
