Asked by Nlmmleigh Jan 09, 2017 at 08:55 PM about the 2013 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Explorer will make a loud grinding noise when
turning the steering wheel sharp. In motion or sitting
still. Thoughts?
It also has a front drivers side rattle and when
slowing down at a higher speed with get louder and
there will even be a bit of a shake. Thoughts?

Check the hub bearing also. Don't want to overlook that possibility.

If it makes noise when sitting still I doubt it is the bearings.
