My 2013 Ford Edge will sometimes not start, seems completely dead.  After I pump the gas a couple of times it will start. What is wrong?

Pumping the gas on a fuel injection vehicle don,t do any thing.But if it cranks,whats the problem?

My car sometimes will not start. I turn on the key and it makes a sound like its sticking l pull back the key and try again and It will turn over but will not start. The ford dealers can not find the problem. They thinks It's flooding it self out but why is it. Help.
