Does anyone have the same problem with there 2013 Ford Mustang?

Asked by Tamara Jan 18, 2016 at 10:31 PM about the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'll be driving and out of nowhere the car loses
power. Dash lights, and radio still on. No gas
acceleration, no check engine lights steering
stiffins because car is off. Thankful I was in a area
I could roll off to a stop. This happens twice today.
I was able to restart and drive, with a horrible
feeling of fear! Ford Dealer found nothing wrong
with it But this has happened 3 times now.....

This sounds like you may have and PCM issue,or fuel pressure issue, both of these will not throw a code, this could be a faulty fuel pump showing signs of early retirement but not quite dead, meaning no issues untill it does it,or the PCM is bad and only shows it when it,s ready, anything other than these two would throw codes.

Thank you for your response! I was able to get off the mountain safely. Full power and acceleration so far.....I'm completely distraught: ( I was told to replace the Canister Perge Valve. That was not the problem.

Head back to the dealer this car should still be under manufactures warranty

I bought this car from Steel & Son ( small independent dealership) AS IS:( I did take it to Ford Lake Elsinore, during there Diagnosis they couldn't get it to stall/ shut of during operation. They did find the Canister Perge Valve was leaking and said" that MAY cause the car to stall. Ford couldn't give me a answer to the problem. I did replace the CPV and within two days the car shut off during driving. It's really WIERD YOU DONT EVEN NOTICE THE CAR SHUT OFF UNTIL YOU STEP ON GAS AND REALIZE THERS NO POWER....THEN STEERING. ALL DASH LIGHTS AND RADIO ARE STILL ON? Car was able to restart and drive. Seems to have full power FOR NOW...... THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO TRY AND HELP:)
