Just picked up a 2003 Police Interceptor at an impound lot. It is leaking transmission fluid where the hoses go into the bottom of the radiator unit. I can wiggle one of the hoses and it seems loose. Is there a way to tighten the hoses or replace the O rings to stop the leak?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The hoses almost look like they are pressed into the lower unit.

You can also just replace the trans line connector if it has those;

Replace the connector or just tighten it. I would avoid the Teflon tape. If you get a tiny piece of Teflon tape into the transmission valve body you will discover why I suggested avoiding it.
