Why does 13 radio fuse keep blowing?

Question type: General

Bought a new aftermarket stereo system for the car. attempted to install it but forgot to
unplug negative cord to batttery and saw a spark. i thought it may have blown a fuse so i
changed the 1,2, and 13 fuse because they related to the radio. now the 13 fuse keeps
blowing. what am i doing wrong why is the stereo still not working? if its the fuse how do i
prevent it from blowing if i change it again?

the only one i wasnt sure about when i hooked them up was the orange wire from the wiring harness was to illuminate the stereo but the only wire i didnt use from the stereo wires was a blue one (i thought it was for the remote that comes with the stereo??) . i connected those two.. could that be the problem?

actually my bf said he unhooked them before the fuse kept blowing. we dont have the extra wires taped off. could that cause it?

so electrical tape all the unused wires. can the wires that are connected to eachother touch other coupled wires or do they need to be taped as well? if so, as a group or individually?
