02 Durango A/C cause overheating?

Asked by Broke4life Jan 24, 2019 at 09:05 AM about the 2002 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 02 Durango is squeaking from the A/C pulley.
This morning, after letting it warm up, we noticed a
white cloud coming from under the hood and the
distinctive smell of coolant. Seems to be coming
from the A/C area. Gauge wasn't showing hot at
all. Need to know what the problem is and how to
fix, without buying stuff I don't need. Broke family
needs broken ride fixed. Any input greatly
appreciated. Thanks.

There is a hose directly under the compressor. I don't know what it is, but that is where the leak is. Any suggestions?
