If the sound comes only when you are pressing the brakes it may be time for new brake pads.

It can be several things like bearings, tie rod ends, ball joint´s or bushings. You need to find out what if you don´t know how have it look at by a friend who knows or take it to a shop you trust.

If it is in 4WD on a tarmac road it can also do that you may never dirve it in 4WD on a tarmac road only on loose material like gravel or mud or ice. You can damage the 4WD system if you do.
