Asked by Guru7Z96C Jun 04, 2020 at 06:53 PM about the 2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty XL SuperCab

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Ford F-250 super duty with the 6.2 .
No engine light , no codes . I’m on the
highway a lot with it and over the last three
months it has slowly gotten weaker , at first
just pulling an empty trailer to now just the
truck .

I did change the spark plugs , the bottom were in pretty bad shape top were in great shape, still same thing . Did notice a small amount of oil at the throttle body

I noticed oil in the throttle body and carbon build up . A faint sputtering that sounds like an exhaust leak . I’m having it taken to a shop this week. I did pull the new plugs and they covered in oil

Hello Guru7Z96C - any updates on your situation with the truck? I have '12 250 with the 6.2. Noticed for the first time a plume of blue smoke and engine was real sluggish, seemed to clear out but it has happened a few more times.
