2012 Forester heated seats

Asked by buckaroo1222 Jan 02, 2012 at 10:32 PM about the 2012 Subaru Forester 2.5X Premium

Question type: General

I just bought a 2012 forester premium and it has heated seats, and the seats get hot, but then they get cold after a short time, then get hot again. Anyone have any ideas why?
Thanks in Advance

The seats have a thermostat built in so that they heat up to temperature and then the heater shuts of so they don't overheat. However if they are shutting off prematurely then you could have a problem with the thermostat in them
