wiper blades go down too far and won't come back up

The wiper arms need to be adjusted or replaced. Just take them off and with the wiper motor in park reinstall them as long as the spline is not all striped out inside the wiper arm.

they are loose, but if the spline on the wiper motor is stripped it is bad news
