What would cause an exhaust smell near the belt/air intake, and cause vibration and hesitation similar to bad plug or wire? Map sensor?

Just changed plugs and wires and
complete fuel system cleaner.  3.3v6

I would think intake gasket leak,it would make it run this way,and dump fuel giving you the exhaust fume,s you are smelling.
