Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have an 83 Buick Regal Sedan. It starts and runs
well but when I shift it into gear the car cuts off. Ive
checked topical vaccuum lines. Im age 27 learning
this vehicle for the first time. My question is, is
there anyone out there that can explain in detail
what I can do to fix my problem? Thanks
