Leaving a Mercedes Benz for the winter

Asked by sbuff22 Aug 25, 2014 at 05:56 PM about the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 350 Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to leave a Mercedes 2012 E350 in the winter for 4 months. I don't have a garage
so I can't trickle charge it. Should I disconnect the battery and, if so, what will happen
when I reconnect? Thinks.

Make sure gas tank is full to avoid condensation, maybe add some StaBil or some fuel stabilizer, if practical get the tires off the ground, (blocks of wood or jackstands) buy a car cover.....(IMO a 2012 Mercedes is well worth the cost of a cover) and as for the battery not sure on a Mercedes. Don't have anybody you can trust to start it once every couple weeks?

Thank you for the answers. Yes, I'm going to look into renting space with a socket. Well worth it.

I believe there is a alternate battery that keeps your settings, but you will have to reprogram your windows setting. Just hold down the window button for more than 3 seconds each way.

I got new battery for my MERCEDES. The owner told me that I had 2 leave them there,IS that ture
