Possible electrical problem when trying to start 2000 Odyssey

My wife drove the van to work; when she went to leave, she turned the key.  Nothing.  The door was open; as soon as she closed the driver's door, the van started.  Stopped a few places, no problems.  Stopped another place, got in, turned key--nothing.  She opened and closed the driver's door and the van started.  We just got a new battery a couple of weeks ago, but I don't know if there's a relation here.

...yes when they installed the new battery, they should have been mindful of the GROUND connection to the chassis...and to the engine block....well we can do something about it...get a coarse wirebrush and take the bolt off and wirebrush the lug and the spot...same for the motor block...near the alternator usually~ should be able to pull 300 cold cranking amps and provide the delicate .750 mA~...for the ECM~
