I have 2004 honda odyssey ex-l and I hear a load humming noise at 40-45 miles and at 60-65 miles. Noise is at other speeds but very low. I went to a mechanic and he told me that it was from left front wheel bearing and he changed but the noise is still there. I went to NTB and Honda service center and they told me that it was from bad tires and I changed all 4 tires, but the noise is still there. Can you please let me know the cause for this noise

the only thing i can think of is the tires...if they are directional tires and mounted incorrectly you can get noise from the tires

Thanks for the reply Jonathan. I have got all 4 new tires and the noise is bad at 40-45 and 60-65. If it is from tires, then I think it should be there at all speeds. It is loud at these speeds and very low at other speeds.

Bought '02 Honda Odyssey w/185,000 original owner mainly hiway miles. How do I find out if the 2 airbag and 2 transmission recalls were taken care of? Prev owners handed me a stack of paperwork supposedly showing all reg scheduled maint. performed, on time. Overheats when at idle, esp w/A/C on. Steering wheel is bit shakey at low speeds. Starts easily, but sounds "knocky" when firing up. Honda dealership where all service was done on it is 5 hrs away. Got any maint. advice I can get my local Honda folks to perform on it? (w/o spending thousands? I'd PAY for any solid advice, pref from Honda mechanics! Thanks 2 Answers
