Tpms sensor

Asked by Rogerbee May 09, 2017 at 04:04 PM about the 2012 Honda Pilot Touring 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi have a 2012 Honda Pilot touring and I
bought rims with sensors off 2016 pilot 20"
The tpms lights are on all the time. I took
the car to the dealership and I told there is
not that can be done with programming
the sensor. I was told if I put the old
sensors on the new rims it will not work
because the new rims are 20" and the old
rims are 18" and the old sensors setup for
the 18" rims only. Anyone has a fix ?

The car is preset with what TPMS sensors it will or won't accept. The bigger issue is that if you have changed the tire diameter, the ABS computer cannot properly read the tire speed and function correctly.
