Temp gauge

Asked by rockybeachriver Jun 02, 2018 at 08:48 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LT 4WD

The temperture on my 2012 Chevy Suburban when started the needle go to
210" and stays.  I does not go higher of lower.  When the engine is turned off it
falls all the way to the left.  Does any body have an ideas what could be
causing this?

We have a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban premier, we were travel today an i look at the temperature hand an it was sitting on 210.the outside temperature was around 50 degrees.
